Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following available schedules:

• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 12:30pm-11pm

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 12:30pm-11pm

• Some holidays required

Compensation

• $24-31/hour based on credentials and experience, plus a 15% shift differential for weekend shifts

As a Veterinary Assistant - Urgent Care , you’ll play a key role in ensuring our urgent care department runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will:

• Safely handle and restrain patients
• Assist with radiographs , lab sample collection, and basic lab work (PCV/TP, smears, urinalysis)
• Monitor and record patient vitals , alerting the medical team to any abnormalities
• Support technicians and veterinarians in patient monitoring, anesthetic induction and recovery
• Keep treatment areas as well as equipment clean and organized
• Provide excellent communication with clients and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience as a veterinary assistant
• Prior experience or interest in Urgent Care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A team-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using veterinary software systems
• A compassionate, proactive, and collaborative approach to veterinary care
