As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform engineering design tasks to support the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater projects.**Responsibilities include:*** Production of contract documents including plans and specifications* Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.* Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.* Prepares construction and design cost estimates.* Develop project specifications.* Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.* Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.* Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation.* Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.**Skills and Experience:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.* Minimum of 6 years of experience in water and wastewater systems design* TX PE License is required.* Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies.* Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines.* Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.* Ability to work independently.* Strong oral and written communication skills.* Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus.Compensation Range:$104,402.58 - $119,317.24**STV offers the following benefits** • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
