Senior Infrastructure EngineerOutline of the Role:We are looking to hire a dynamic Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the development of organizational IT infrastructure across database systems, configure and manage network devices and more. The Senior-level Infrastructure Engineer is expected to have 5+ years of experience.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Lead development of organizational IT infrastructure across database systems, technology solutions, networks, and serversConfigure and manage network devices, performance, and serversAct as subject matter expert for infrastructure needsCreate and maintain relevant documentation and conduct knowledge transfer activitiesQualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data platformsImplement and optimize large data technologies and frameworksConduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve bottleneck issuesKeen understanding of our cultureStrong analytical, problem solving and root cause identification skillsExcellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbalExcellent listening and facilitation skills; the ability to sense organizational vibrationsCoaching and mentoring skills, especially influencing others to move toward a common goal or visionEntrepreneurship and resourcefulness – an initiative-takerSelf-awareness, with a desire for constant self-improvementAdditional Skills:Skilled in design, analysis, evaluation, configuration, implementation of network solutions; including route/switch, wireless, network security and cloud networksAble to instrument logging and monitoring tools to aid in identify problems in routing, equipment failures, security issues quickly. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Contributes to root cause analysis and problem resolutionDemonstrates knowledge and expertise in network security protocols. Designs network solutions to effectively secure the networks, while ensuring the network is resilient and scales reliably to meet business needsMaintains documentation of network configurations, changes, and performance metricsDemonstrates designs and advocates for network improvementsCollaborates with application team members and advises on designs that will improve performance, provide insights to network issuesFamiliarity with Cisco IOS, Meraki, Palo Alto, zScaler, InfoBlox, Aviatrix, desirableAdditional Manager Comments:Good awareness of culture/core values.
