Job Summary and Qualifications Manages the daily operations and activities of the Operating Room. Responsible for the management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Director. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, preparation and oversight of staff schedules; providing input into employee decisions related to hiring, performance assessment and disciplinary actions; developing collaborative working relationships with hospital leadership, physicians and staff; overseeing and guiding the staff to ensure the department meets JCAHO standards and complies with corporate policy and procedures; managing supplies and equipment; promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers; promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and managing resources. What qualifications you will need: Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements). Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Minimum 3 years of clinical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting. Minimum 1 year of experience as a full‑time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management. We are an equal opportunity employer.
