Senior Business Analyst – Data & ReportingCornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Data & Reporting to support a large-scale technology and reporting modernization initiative. This is not a traditional process-only Business Analyst position. We are looking for someone who understands data, reporting, requirements, and business systems and can work directly with technical teams and business stakeholders to analyze complex reporting needs, identify data issues, document data flows, and help deliver modern reporting solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep Business Analysis experience combined with hands-on knowledge of Power BI, Snowflake, report development, data validation, and UAT. Experience working with legacy or mainframe reporting environments is highly valuable.What You'll Do:Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject-matter experts to gather, analyze, and document complex business and reporting requirementsTranslate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for data and reporting solutionsAnalyze existing reports, extracts, data sources, and business processes to identify modernization opportunitiesSupport the transition of legacy and mainframe-based reporting into modern reporting and data platformsPerform data analysis and root-cause analysis to identify discrepancies, errors, and reporting issuesDocument data flows, mappings, business rules, reporting logic, and dependenciesWork with Snowflake data environments to support reporting, validation, and analytical requirementsDevelop, enhance, or support reports and dashboards using Power BIValidate report outputs and underlying data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirementsFacilitate requirements sessions, workshops, and discussions between business and technology teamsDevelop test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentationCoordinate and support UAT activities through issue resolution and final business acceptanceSupport implementation, training, documentation, and change-management activitiesAssist with publishing and presenting data through internal, external, and open-data platformsProduce clear, consistent documentation using established Business Analysis methodologies and standardsManage multiple related initiatives while working with a high degree of independence and ownershipWhat We're Looking For:8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting complex technology initiativesExtensive experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirementsStrong background in reporting requirements and report developmentExperience working directly with business stakeholders to design technology and reporting solutionsStrong understanding of data analysis, data validation, data flows, data mapping, and data quality2+ years of Snowflake experience2+ years of Power BI experienceSignificant experience developing and supporting UAT, implementation, and user training activitiesAbility to translate complex technical and data concepts into clear documentation for business audiencesExcellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skillsAbility to work independently across multiple interrelated projects with limited supervisionHighly Desirable Experience with SQL and querying relational or cloud-based data platformsExperience modernizing legacy or mainframe reports and extractsExperience with data migration, data lineage, ETL, or reporting modernization initiativesExperience publishing data to external-facing websites or open-data platformsBackground supporting large enterprise, government, regulatory, energy, or similarly complex environmentsOil & Gas industry experienceThe Profile That Will Stand Out:We're particularly interested in candidates who have operated at the intersection of Business Analysis and Data/Reporting.
