Position Type:  Full Time

Salary:  $42,000.00

Job Description/Summary

The Youth Support Specialist (Case Manager) is responsible for providing structured partial care program services.  An ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, creative, engaging, and be able to work effectively on a team.  Will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to manage group dynamics among adolescents (13-17 year olds).  This is a great position for a recent college graduate with psychology, social work, and ABA background.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing direct care services; works with persons served and the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement the plan of care and subsequent reviews reporting changes in service.
• Provides transportation of all program participants to and from program and adheres to all transportation policies and procedures. Creates and manages daily transportation route.
• Prepares and facilitates group activities, which involve psycho education, medication education, nutrition, group counseling, behavior management, community meetings, coping skills, pre-vocational skills, alcohol/drug education, and support groups.
• Provides management to milieu; including behavioral modification, crisis intervention, moderating group dynamics, conflict resolution, and contraband searching

Qualifications

• Valid NJ driver’s license
• Complete background check/Fingerprinting requirement
• CPR/AED/First Aide (provided)

Education:  A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years' experience in the provision of appropriate services to youth;
