PPBE Senior Consultant, Controllership

Position Summary Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.Work You’ll DoAs a Senior Consultant, Controllership, you will provide critical analytical, programmatic, and financial management support throughout the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle. You will be primarily responsible for supporting the formulation, justification, presentation, and defense of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and the Budget Estimate Submission (BES) for the client's POM. In this role, you will bridge the gap between strategic operational requirements and fiscal realities, ensuring that program funding aligns with overarching defense capabilities and mission objectives. We work with the CFO, CAO, controller, and treasurer to develop an efficient, high quality, data-driven, tech-enabled controllership and treasury function that empowers our clients to drive more value to their business partners and to their investors.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree5+ years of experience with the PPBE process, especially Planning, Programming and appropriation typesActive Secret security clearance requiredAbility to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 3 – 4 days per weekAbility to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futurePreferred: CPA, CGFM, or CDFM preferredPrior consulting experience with DoW or federal clientsFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $188,400. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
