Job Description

Job Summary:
The Die Cut Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of the Bobst die cutter for both finished product and product to be further processed. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on all essential equipment and logs such maintenance. Assists operators in the training of new personnel as directed. Loads press as necessary. Responsible for making the required quality assurance pulls and corrects all defects as needed. Files dies, job corrugates and job tickets upon the completion of a job. Makes all required job information entries on job jacket. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Assists Plant Manager with Die Cutting supplies inventory. Erects and builds racks and/or tables needed to streamline operations throughout the plant. Assists in other work areas as needed and directed. Follows all safety and quality procedures. Reports all mechanical and safety issues to supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Expedites projects and requests as directed by the Department Supervisor. • Follows all safety and quality procedures. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet quotas and deadlines. • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times, and push/pull 2,000 pounds with a pallet jack. Essential Qualifications: • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. • Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. • Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • At least one year of related experience required. • Mechanical knowledge of automatic die cutter preferred. • General understanding of mechanics and tools required. • Strong math skills. Working Conditions: • Work will be performed in our manufacturing warehouse which requires mobility within the production work area. • Exposure to constant and intermittent sounds of machinery in a production environment. • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Pay: $24-$32/HRLocation: Bartlett, IL
