Remote Technical Sales Representative (Atlantic Canada) (Kirkland)

Role Overview Under the supervision of the Sales Supervisor, the Technical Sales Representative for Atlantic Canada is responsible for providing field technical sales support to customers of John Brooks Company in various markets and industries for the Atlantic provinces of Canada. The role involves consultative field sales activities, generating and closing sales opportunities, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding territory sales and profitability targets. Duties & Responsibilities Provide top-quality field technical sales support for all John Brooks products and systems. Manage and service existing business/client base within the sales territory. Establish and maintain skilled business relations with new and existing customers. Conduct sales calls and meetings with existing customers; discuss new opportunities/products, cross‑sell, follow up on prior orders, and close orders. Prospect, generate, and qualify sales opportunities and leads; provide recommendations and discuss product options and opportunities. Visit customers to review products and applications, evaluate and recommend solutions to suit individual customer needs. Manage CRM; create, submit, track, and update statuses of all proposals, quotations, and customer inquiries in Salesforce. Participate in joint calls with management, suppliers, and other division representatives. Provide product and system technical support and assistance with product selection and proposals. Represent the company in trade shows; conduct professional technical presentations and promote core products for specific applications. Set professional development goals and work toward their fulfillment; attend all required training. Essential Qualifications College diploma in a related field. Minimum 1–3 years of related experience. Proficient sales skills and a keen desire to develop further. Strong technical and mechanical proficiency relating to various product applications. Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). A hunter mindset with a strong technical aptitude and general understanding of industrial processes. Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships. Strong time‑management, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent presentation skills and experience preparing professional PowerPoint decks. Valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of ERP and CRM software systems. Work Environment Day travel to customer and supplier sites – approximately 60–75% of time. Long‑distance and overnight travel as required – approximately 10% of time. Home office when not traveling. Ability to lift 45lbs on occasion.
