About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Bridgeport, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage stepdown-level patients including post-MI with sheath pull, ADHF, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Neo, and Cardene per protocol
• Monitor telemetry on all patients and independently read and interpret rhythm strips
• Manage patients on BiPAP and CPAP as needed
• Float to other units as needed (PRN)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with stepdown or intermediate care level patients
• Demonstrated ability to titrate drips including vasoactive and cardiac medications
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-MI care including sheath pulls
• Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP management
• Experience in a telemetry-monitored unit environment
