Primary Work Location TH Family Care 18157 1650 East Stacy Road Allen TX 75069 (Will float to Plano, McKinney and Melissa clinics.) Work Hours Full‑time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Travel 75% to surrounding clinics as needed. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Experience: 1 year Medical Assistant experience within the last three years. (Required) Licenses and Certifications: CMA – Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Preferred: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Preferred: BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Responsibilities Under the direction of the health care provider, deliver patient care that promotes the safety and well‑being of all patients. Accurately perform preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse and respiration and other measures as directed by established clinical protocols. Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures. Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider. Obtain and record vital signs including, but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem. Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic and/or inhalant administration. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKGs. Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion of testing. Document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider. Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by the provider. Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol. Keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly. Escalate non‑routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s). Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required. Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights. May work in the front office as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
