Part-Time Private Chef Opportunity (2-3 Days Per Week)

We are seeking an experienced, highly professional Private Chef with formal classical French culinary training to provide in-home meal preparation for a private client. This is an exceptional opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating refined, personalized dining experiences while balancing traditional techniques with lighter, modern flavors.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of French cuisine and be capable of designing and preparing a menu that reflects a nouveau French approach . While grounded in classic culinary methods, meals should be fresh, elegant, seasonal, and not overly rich or heavy. The client also has strong ties to New Orleans cuisine and would welcome select dishes and flavor profiles that thoughtfully incorporate influences from the region.

Position Details

• Part-time engagement
• Approximately 2-3 days per week
• Meals prepared in the client's private residence
• Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability
• Opportunity to develop customized weekly menus tailored to the client's preferences

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare high-quality meals in the client's home
• Create seasonal menus featuring modern French cuisine
• Incorporate occasional New Orleans-inspired dishes and flavors
• Source and select premium ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Accommodate dietary preferences and evolving tastes
• Manage food inventory, shopping, and meal preparation efficiently
• Present meals with a high standard of professionalism and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Formal training in classical French culinary techniques and cuisine
• Previous experience as a private chef, executive chef, sous chef, or in a fine-dining environment
• Strong knowledge of modern French cooking styles and contemporary plating techniques
• Experience with Louisiana, Creole, or New Orleans-inspired cuisine is highly desirable
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
