Customer Service Specialist

Job Position: Customer Service Specialist Location: New Bedford, MA 02744 Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
Shift: 1st M-F 8 am-5 pm
Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist to work with the Upper Management and Sales Department in a Manufacturing setting.
Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Process and manage customer orders from entry through delivery
- Respond to customer questions by phone and email
- Provide order status, pricing, availability, and delivery updates
- Enter and maintain customer and order information in an ERP/MRP system
- Coordinate with production to confirm manufacturing schedules and lead times
- Work with shipping/logistics to track deliveries and resolve shipping issues
- Handle returns, credits, replacements, and customer complaints
- Create and maintain quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation
- Communicate changes in orders, quantities, specifications, or delivery dates
- Monitor backorders and inventory availability
- Identify and resolve order discrepancies or production-related issues
- Order entry and data entry
- Manufacturing/production knowledge
- ERP/MRP software experience
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook Additional Information: Experience in Excel, Microsoft Suite, and Microsoft Word is a must for accurate data entry. Experience in a Manufacturing facility is also a must for this type of role.
