Shift: Day Shift - Monday through Thursday 6 AM - 4:30 PM (occasional Friday overtime) Night Shift - Sunday through Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM Hire Sync is hiring a CNC Machinist for a day-shift opportunity in Willoughby, OH. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with experience operating and programming CNC lathes and mills who enjoys working in a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment. What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines based on blueprints and technical drawings
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Load, verify, and run CNC programs prior to production
- Write or modify G-code programs as needed
- Make real-time machine adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- 2-5 years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill)
- Proficiency in CNC setup, operation, and basic programming
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
- Experience machining materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastics
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED; technical training is a plus
- Certifications are a plus
