Activities Coordinator

Overview Seashore Senior Living is hiring an Activities Coordinator. Requirements include a High School or Equivalent Diploma, ability to pass a Level II AHCA background screening, and 1-2 years of related experience. This is an in-person, full-time role that will directly impact residents’ daily activities by bringing entertainment, challenge, and assistance to their lives. The team at Seashore is a family, and we seek a dependable new member with an enthusiastic, service-minded attitude and good communication skills. Responsibilities Facilitate activities for the facility, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend hours as well. Create and execute monthly engagement and activities calendars. Assist with planning and coordinating various activities, discussion groups, and clubs. Plan holiday parties and birthday parties for residents. Prepare and distribute the monthly calendar, weekly reminders, event flyers, newsletters, and other promotional material for Assisted Living. Direct volunteer activities and provide training. Maintain accurate documentation of residents’ activity attendance. Research upcoming events and trips. Document activity portions of the service plan for each resident. Report changes in residents to Administrator/Health Services Director. Other duties as needed. Qualifications One to two years of relevant experience in an assisted living environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. A heart for working with senior adults and their families.
