Marketing Coordinator

Department BSD MED - Infectious Diseases - Chicago Center HIV Elimination (CCHE) Job Summary The Research Coordinator will assist with day‑to‑day operations of funded projects that involve working with LGBTQ and criminal justice involved (CJI) individuals. The role reports to the Director of Research and includes oversight of several research projects with guidance from the Research Manager and Director. Responsibilities Support recruitment, screening for eligibility, and consenting community members. Deliver assessments, interventions, and controls. Support data entry, management, and analysis. Offer referrals to service programming when appropriate. Conduct literature reviews and support manuscript and grant writing. Engage in data management and analysis as needed. Oversee day‑to‑day research project operations and coordinate multiple related projects to ensure optimal recruitment, enrollment, and fidelity to study requirements. Assist with development of study protocols, survey instruments, and maintenance of databases. Support evening and weekend events as requested on site. Perform various administrative and operational tasks under direct supervision. Use knowledge of clinical studies to coordinate collection of analyzable clinical research data and/or samples. Perform other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field. 2–5 years of work experience in a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Previous research experience. Experience working with individuals who identify as gender or sexual minorities. Demonstrated leadership, teaching, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong program subject knowledge and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stressful situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines while handling multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and in both qualitative and quantitative research. Willingness to be trained in phlebotomy. Working Conditions Direct patient or community member contact in clinics, research spaces, and community settings. Exposure to human blood and infectious material. Evenings and weekends as needed.
