Job Title: Admixture Technician Job Description

The Admixture Technician is a key member of the pharmacy and clinical care team, responsible for preparing medications accurately and efficiently to support patient treatment. This role focuses on the technical aspects of medication preparation, inventory management, and clean room operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Certified Pharmacy Technician interested in learning IV admixture and oncology pharmacy practices through on-the-job training within an established specialty practice.

• Verify and prepare medications according to provider orders.
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous medications in accordance with USP 797, USP 800, OSHA, and company policies.
• Utilize proper sterile technique while mixing medications under the hood.
• Accurately label all medications prior to administration.
• Manage medication inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Receive and document incoming medication inventory.
• Review treatment schedules and assist with drug ordering.
• Maintain clean room standards and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate with nurses and providers to ensure timely medication availability.
• Respond appropriately to hazardous spills and emergency situations.
• Schedule and coordinate pharmaceutical waste disposal.
• Maintain Pharmacy Technician certification and required training.

• Active Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Experience handling medications in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow detailed preparation procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
• Understanding of sterile technique and medication safety.
• Inventory management and medication handling experience.
• Familiarity with USP 797 / USP 800, oncology, admixture, and clean room environment.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Retail pharmacy or physician dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• IV admixture experience preferred.
• Sterile compounding experience preferred.
• USP 797 and USP 800 experience preferred.
• Oncology pharmacy experience preferred.
• Inventory management experience preferred.
• Clean room experience preferred.

This position is located in Salem, OR, within a pharmacy admixture and infusion environment supporting oncology and specialty care patients. Employees work in clean room settings and handle both hazardous and non-hazardous medications while collaborating closely with pharmacists, nurses, and providers. The environment requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and sterile compounding procedures. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, including weekday and weekend hours, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Technicians receive an additional 10% shift differential for weekend hours worked.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.

The pay range for this position is $26.94 - $35.48/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Salem,OR.
