Used Car Service Technician

Service Technician PositionWe are looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team in The Dalles OR! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and preferably be ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.Service Technician Benefits:Sundays and all major holidays offCompetitive Pay100% Employee paid medical premiumRoom for Advancement and career growthMedical/Dental/VisionIndustry Training401KFlex Spending AccountEmployee Discount Program on Service, Parts and VehiclesService Technician Responsibilities:Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systemsCommunicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is neededProvide estimates of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsService Technician Requirements:2+ years of Service Technician experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentB level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentExcellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentTeammate with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbout Us: Our family has been in the automotive business for nearly 80 years.
