Senior Corporate AccountantSalary: $70,000 - $90,000 per yearLocation: Pittsburgh, PAMinimum Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institutionRelocation Assistance: Not AvailableWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions of a multi-entity organization with domestic and international operations. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, consolidation of multiple operating entities, and preparation of accurate, timely financial statements. This position offers significant exposure to intercompany accounting, cost accounting, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrualsPrepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balancesMaintain and reconcile intercompany accounts with domestic and foreign affiliates, including foreign currency translation and remeasurementReconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerAssist with the preparation of supporting schedules for external audits, bank reporting, and covenant compliance packagesSupport sales/use tax, property tax, and other state and local tax filings across multiple jurisdictionsPrepare and analyze monthly management reports, including budget-to-actual variance analysisDocument and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and close proceduresSupport special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc analysis for senior managementQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilityStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAPAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)Experience with ERP/accounting systems and the ability to learn new systems quicklyStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferredCPA license or active CPA candidateExperience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accountingExposure to foreign currency accounting (ASC 830) and international operationsExperience supporting external audits and lender reporting
