As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to guests and staff. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exits, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor flow, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to help support daily location operations.
• Assist with opening and closing activities, follow post orders, and provide courteous guidance to guests regarding location rules, restricted areas, and/or directional information.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
