Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NICU, Day Shift, Respiratory Therapy

Shady Grove Medical Center Position: Respiratory Therapist (NICU) Overview Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Respiratory Therapist (NICU) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Attend all high‑risk deliveries as required. Be competent to perform internal and external transport of critically ill neonates as per transport policy. Responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, documenting and evaluating patients on invasive and non‑invasive ventilation. Assess and document patient outcomes via EMR; perform SBAR and participate in rounds in ICU and NICU. Respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Qualifications Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required. National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist required. Active Maryland State RRT license required. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. Must obtain an Advanced Certification (NPS, ACCS, RPFT) within the first year of employment. Work Schedule Employment Type: Full‑time Hours per week: 36 hrs/week Typical daily schedule: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM Shift type: Day Weekend requirements: Required every third weekend Holiday requirements: Required/Rotating following company holiday calendar On‑call: Must be able to take one 12‑hour night shift M‑F each month. Shift differential eligible: Yes Unit‑based incentive eligible: Yes, if NICU eligible Pay Range $34.58 - $51.87 per hour.
