Job Description: We’re seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead operations at a high-volume analytical lab that supports agricultural and environmental testing. This role oversees day-to-day laboratory management, including staff leadership, workflow efficiency, process optimization, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong people and operational management skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to laboratory staff, including ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and professional development. Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve operational goals related to efficiency, quality, profitability, and customer service. Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Forecast and plan for seasonal workloads, staffing needs, and business growth. Manage budgets, inventory, and equipment maintenance to ensure consistent laboratory performance. Maintain robust training and safety programs for all laboratory personnel. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, turnaround time, and customer experience. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and safety. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Science, or a related field; equivalent experience in laboratory or agricultural operations will be considered. Minimum 5 years of management experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Strong understanding of laboratory operations, process management, and quality systems.
