Account Executive

Insight Global is hiring for an Account Executive to join a nationwide provider in IT infrastructure services based out Plymouth, MN. The company specializes in structured cabling, network hardware installation, and low voltage technology solutions. The Account Executive will be supporting the company's expansion beyond Minnesota and into Nashville, TN market. This position requires working fully remote and independently in Nashville, serving as the on-the-ground presence responsible for building out the business, developing local relationships, and driving growth in a new territory. This position requires strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong, trustbased relationships with existing clients by understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction with delivered products or services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issue resolution, and ongoing support.
• Conduct regular client checkins to identify opportunities for upselling and crossselling.
Business Development
• Identify and pursue prospective clients using a variety of channels including cold outreach, networking events, referrals, and digital platforms.
• Research potential clients and their industries to understand challenges and propose tailored solutions.
• Deliver persuasive sales presentations and product/service demonstrations.
Sales & Revenue Generation
• Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quotas through effective pipeline management, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts that define scope, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams-such as marketing, product, and customer support-to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
Market & Competitor Analysis
• Stay informed on industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities, sharing insights with leadership.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the client base.
• Analyze sales performance data and generate reports to evaluate and improve sales strategy effectiveness.
Sales Forecasting & Planning
• Develop comprehensive sales plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Forecast revenue projections, monitor progress toward targets, and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Provide routine sales reports, including pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and account updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated success in sales, ideally in an Account Executive or similar clientfacing role.
- Strong knowledge working within telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or related
- Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and modern sales tools.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, or events as needed.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
