Your Impact

You will help shape Newmont’s future growth by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing high quality exploration opportunities. Your work will directly inform strategic investment decisions, reduce exploration risk, and strengthen the long-term exploration pipeline aligned with Newmont’s corporate strategy.

As part of our team, you will

• Identify and evaluate exploration opportunities, including JVs and acquisitions
• Conduct technical, economic, and risk assessments across exploration stages
• Maintain and enhance a global opportunity and market intelligence database
• Support development of exploration frameworks that guide ground selection and portfolio prioritization
• Collaborate with exploration, geoscience, sustainability, and commercial teams to deliver robust opportunity evaluations
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and Investment Committee materials
• Build relationships with external partners, junior explorers, and government agencies

Prerequisites for your success in this role

• Advanced degree in Geoscience, Geology, Mineral Economics or related discipline
• Qualified Person designation under international reporting standards
• Broad exploration and evaluation experience across multiple geological settings
• Strong mineral systems targeting and exploration risk assessment capability
• Ability to effectively translate and communicate technical evaluation insight and align to business strategy
• Experience producing executive-level technical reports
• Experience evaluating acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures
• Understanding of full resource development lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external partners
• Familiarity with jurisdictional, regulatory, and ESG considerations
• Commercial acumen including budgets, forecasts, and resource evaluations
• Willingness to travel globally and work across time zones

Your Work Environment

• This is an enterprise-led, global role operating across diverse jurisdictions and cultures.
  You will work closely with Exploration & Geosciences, Corporate Development, Projects, Finance, Sustainability, and external partners.
• The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or our site locations, will be considered.
• Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
• The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $106,200- 148,600. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
