OR Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00) or Night shift: 4x10-Hour (20:00 - 06:00). Scheduled shifts may include weekends, up to every other weekend.

Job Description

The OR Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing optimal care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position entails a variety of responsibilities including preparing patients for surgery, assisting with the surgical procedure, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate timely surgical procedures.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of charge experience in an OR setting.
• Valid RN license in Washington or Compact state.
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
