Overview:

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit. This full-time position offers a DAY shift with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates!

The role involves educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care, monitoring and recording vital signs, observing changes in patient conditions, and responding promptly with appropriate interventions. The nurse will utilize sound clinical judgment to address complex health situations, consult with medical team members as needed, and document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara:

Unique 6-Month Program Includes:

• No separate application required, automatic enrollment for any RN with less than 12 months experience or transitioning to a new practice area.
• General Nursing Orientation
• Specialty Clinical Track Residency

• Mentoring and Unit-based Preceptors

Education:

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure:

• Registered nursing License (Required)
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience:

• None required
• 1 year of acute care (preferred)
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
