As an associate at Kramer Rayson, you’ll join a dynamic and welcoming team that values open communication, collaboration, and work–life balance. We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a minimum of three years of practice experience to join our defense litigation team.

This position offers an immediate opportunity to step into an established and active caseload, with a primary focus on insurance defense matters. You’ll work closely with an experienced partner while taking meaningful ownership of cases, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and client communication.

A significant part of this opportunity is direct exposure to established insurance carrier clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop those relationships and, with experience, become a primary point of contact for key clients. For an attorney ready to take the next step in their practice, this role provides both an existing pipeline of substantive work and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of litigation experience
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active Tennessee law license
• Insurance defense or civil defense litigation experience preferred
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case management
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Interest in developing direct client relationships and growing within the firm's litigation practice
