As a Pastry Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pastry kitchen, preparing ingredients and assisting in the creation of delightful pastries and desserts. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the production of pastries for conferences and events while also helping to create the sweets and treats offered at our local market coffee shop. Your efforts will ensure the highest quality standards are maintained, and you'll participate in live action stations for guests, showcasing the magic of pastry preparation. Additionally, you'll be part of the team that brings to life the annual gingerbread replica of the resort, spreading holiday cheer throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingredient Preparation: Prepare and measure ingredients for various pastries and desserts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support the Pastry Team: Assist pastry chefs in the creation of desserts for events and our coffee shop offerings.
- Quality Control: Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients to maintain high culinary standards.
- Health Compliance: Adhere to proper food storage, labeling, and health regulations for a safe kitchen environment.
- Daily Operations: Help maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and readiness for efficient service.
