Job Opportunity: Full-Time Noninvasive Cardiologist

Our organization is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Noninvasive Cardiologist for a faculty role that includes a dual appointment with a prominent university. This position will primarily be located at a Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.

About Our Facility

We are a 240-bed tertiary referral center specializing in cardiovascular diseases within the VA system. Our facility provides a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services, including:

• On-site Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery
• Complex interventional and structural procedures
• Electrophysiology (EP) devices and ablations
• Advanced imaging techniques such as 3D Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for perfusion, Cardiac Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Interpret Electrocardiograms (ECGs), exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, and ambulatory cardiac monitors.
• Supervise and educate general cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers, and medical residents.
• Collaborate with a team of 3 interventionalists, 3 electrophysiologists, 6 noninvasive cardiologists, and 1 heart failure specialist, along with 10 Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Participate in shared assignments for the VA Coronary Care Unit and general consult services, including night and weekend call duties.
• Manage patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Engage in advanced cardiac imaging interpretations and participate in clinical trials and research activities based on your interests.
• Express interest in collaborating with the VA heart failure disease management group.
