Night Shift Production Supervisor

Night Shift SupervisorThree D Metals is currently looking for a night shift supervisor for the production department. We are looking for an energetic and adaptable candidate to lead our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who likes to be busy, enjoys working with people, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every shift.(Schedule: Sunday Night - Thursday Night 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM)Summary:Coordinates orders to the production equipment and runs production of the plant efficiently.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.Works closely with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.Observes work and monitors gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.Conducts employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assigns employee training to experienced workers.Enforces safety regulations and best practices are followed.Reviews monthly performance of all employees with the plant manager.Interprets specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.Keeps records of employees' timecards and time off.Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.Assists in determining standards, and production goals, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, safety, product quality, or efficiency.Recommends personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluation, or promotion.Assists in the planning and development of new products and production processes.Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises hourly employees in the production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
