Registered Nurse - PICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized pediatric intensive care nursing services to critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment. Ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients through advanced clinical skills and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and mechanical ventilation to critically ill children.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and response to treatments using advanced equipment such as ventilators and monitor systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, spinal taps, and port access/discontinuation.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (Meditech).
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including sedation management and titration of critical drips.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of pediatric ICU nursing experience.
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with PICU, NICU, or related women’s health areas preferred.
• Demonstrate strong multitasking, organization, and patient-centered skills.
• Ability to float to NICU or OB/GYN units if qualified.
• Capable of working rotating weekends, night shifts, and on-call as needed.
