Senior Emergency Services Coordinator California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services – Officer of Emergency Services (Recovery Support Function, Recovery Disaster Analysis and Coordination Unit) Responsibilities Lead specialized support for all elements within the Recovery Disaster Analysis and Coordination Unit. Serve as Disaster Analysis Unit lead: prepare Governor’s Office Action Requests, validate Initial Damage Estimates, and develop recovery training, exercises, presentations, and briefings. Provide technical expertise during Incident Command Structure activations. Coordinate and manage high‑critical, complex disaster recovery projects in collaboration with California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, state, federal, local, and non‑government partners. Act as legislative coordinator for the unit and support response and recovery operations at the Joint Field Office. Lead and organize resources and implementation of pre‑and post‑disaster recovery objectives, including disaster recovery planning, preparedness, vulnerability studies, and financial incentive programs. Minimum Qualifications Broad working knowledge of state emergency management services and operations. Knowledge of state and federal Public Assistance, Individual Assistance, Fire Management Assistance Grant, and Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs as provided under the California Emergency Services Act, California Disaster Assistance Act, and the Robert T. Stafford Act. Desirable Qualifications Ability to interpret and apply policy. Strong interagency coordination skills. Experience managing complex disaster projects.
