Title: Manufacturing Technician II

Location: 711 Park Ave Medina NY USA 14103
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM 

(Note: Mandatory overtime on Fridays will occasionally be required)

Job Description

Position Summary:

You will be working in a temperature and humidity-controlled FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. The Tech II is responsible for following procedures and performing the various steps contained within the procedure in order to return the medical pump to its original state and to assure a quality end product.

Essential Functions:

·         Troubleshooting various components of the pump.

·         Able to work with various hand tools.

·         Perform limited technical aspects of the repair, production and/or restock process.

·         Complete all documentation needed for quality compliance.  

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:  

·         Must be able to identify small electronic components and be able to differentiate using their markings.  

·         Read and follow written work instructions without deviation.  

·         Manipulate small piece parts with both hands and assemble or disassemble a medical device using small hand tools.  

·         Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision, including required documentation needed for compliance.  

·         Ability to visually inspect and identify particulate/foreign matter and distinguish between colors as required by FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices.  

·         Ability to handle often stressful production demands, demonstrate teamwork and cooperation.  

·         Good judgment, positive attitude, and a high level of initiative.

·         Willingness and ability to learn production/repair assembly procedures and drawings.

·         Basic computer skills and ability to transcribe data accurately.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment to meet daily targets.

·         Ability to manually perform basic mathematical calculations.

·         Ability to read and write English proficiently.

Work Environment & Safety Requirements:

·         This is a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA and many other work rules to prevent damage to the product we manufacture. Some of those work rules include but are not limited to:  

·         Wearing a static protective smock at all times while in the work area.

·         Wearing a ground wrist strap and plugging that wrist strap into the working table.

·         Working in close proximity to other employees.

Education: 

·         High School diploma or GED is REQUIRED.

Experience: 

·              Experience in mechanical or electrical repair in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Physical Demands:

·         Must be able to sit or stand for most of the workday.

·         Must have good hand-to-eye coordination and dexterity.

·         Dynamic Lifting capability: Must have the ability to lift and carry 15 pounds from floor to shoulder and lift 2 pounds from shoulder to overhead. Must also have the capability to push and pull a maximum force of 6 pounds.
