Maintenance Mechanic II: Conveyor & Industrial Systems

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Maintenance B Mechanic will be responsible for but not limited to the maintaining of the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. They will also be responsible for upholding the standard policies and procedures within their assigned department. They must have the ability to follow all safety rules and regulations, with the understanding of extended safety requirements in the maintenance, electrical, technical, and the use of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out). Hourly Pay Range: $24 - $25 /hour Work Schedules Available: Second or Third Shift / Weekends Included (Fill Time Hours)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Experience with high-speed sorters (Cross belt, Sliding Shoe, Narrow belt, Popup) Experience with MDR’s (Motorized Drive Rollers) Experience with powered curve conveyors. Ability toreplace and wire a 480 3 phase motor with a brake Ability to replace speed reducer (Gear Box) Knowledge of aircontrol systems (Air Compressors, Valves, Actuators, Cylinders, Devices) Hydraulic Knowledge Experience with trash compactors and/or balers. Ability to weld (Arc, Gas, Wire and soldering) Knowledge of all shop tools Basic knowledge of conveyors, sortation system, forklifts, gear reduced drives, electric motors, pneumatics, welding, plumbing. Performs a variety of tasks assisting the A Mechanics. Must have some knowledge and ability to read schematics, blueprints, etc. Must have thorough knowledge of all shop tools. Must be able to handle all maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures. Communicate with upper management on a daily basis. Additional Skills: Must be CAL OSHA certified on a Turret, Reach, Order Picker, Walker Rider, Manual Pallet equipment, etc. Ability to keep the department OSHA Compliant.Ability to comprehend company customized systems and programs, e.g., PkMS,Crisplant, etc. Extensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety Communicate with upper management on a daily basis. Ability to take directives from Maintenance Manager. Good oral and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented. Perform housekeeping duties when needed. Must be able to take constructive criticism. Ability to work in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Must be able to perform any other special projects and/or general requests made by direct supervisor as needed. Ability to contribute hands on Work with minimal supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Trade School Certificate preferred Minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience with conveyors and mechanical equipment

$24 - $25 /HOUR
