We promise to always fight for their greatest good. The RN provides medical care at the direction of the provider of the Health Center based on the needs of the patient and works to meet the individual needs of each person that walks in the doors of the Health Center.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvides complete patient assessment, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures. Gathers and assesses objective and subjective data from the patientDocuments data and assessments in the patient record. May use a computer system and information technology to ensure standard documentation, coding, and completionAssists the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up careExecuting medical regimens and nursing interventions as appropriate for the setting and their competencyPatient health counseling and instruction, including meeting with families and caregiversMedication reconciliation, management, patient compliance, inventory, educationOperating medical equipmentMaintaining medical supplies, inventory, and disposalEnsures regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelinesThe position may include triage of calls for urgent appointments, referrals for patient consults and testing, insurance pre-certification, and documentationMay use general office skills including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, copyingExcellent customer service skills are needed for interacting with patients, families, and caregiversREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESRN with a current compact nursing license.Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred- but not requiredGraduate of an accredited nursing program1+ year of clinic nursing experience preferredMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal requirementsMust be able to interpret and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of Proactive MDOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
