With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide.Summary:Reporting to the Director of Lean and CI, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for establishing and sustaining foundational manufacturing engineering systems to support efficient, scalable, and high-quality production in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role will lead the development and implementation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, standard work, fixtures, and ERP (Epicor) integration, ensuring full manufacturing readiness, process stability, and cost visibility.The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, to define, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, support new product introduction (NPI), and drive operational excellence through robust engineering practices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain accurate BOMs and routings to support production execution, cost control, and planning accuracyEstablish and improve standard work, labor standards, and process flows across manufacturing operationsLead ERP (Epicor) manufacturing data structure, including item masters, job structures, and process integrationSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring full manufacturing readinessDefine and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipmentServe as a technical liaison between Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply ChainIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wasteDevelop and maintain work instructions and process documentationSupport plant layout and workflow improvementsLead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen)Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersEnsure compliance with safety standards and company policiesAll other duties assigned by management.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field10+ years of manufacturing engineering experienceProven experience developing BOMs, routings, and manufacturing process structuresExperience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production systemsExperience supporting NPI and manufacturing readinessAbility to create and interpret technical drawings and work instructionsExperience with plant layout and process optimizationProficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software preferredKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principlesFamiliarity with ISO standardsStrong problem-solving and project management skillsEpicor ERP knowledge preferred.Project management skills.PSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
