We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Mini Excavator (Mini Ex) and performing underground utility work, including placing PVC conduit, grading, and backfilling.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Mini Excavator and other construction equipment as needed.
- Excavate trenches and assist with underground utility installations.
- Place PVC conduit according to project specifications.
- Perform grading, trenching, and backfilling operations.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections before and after use.
- Report maintenance and repair needs to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Work effectively with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a Mini Excavator or similar heavy equipment.
- Experience with underground utility, conduit, or site work preferred.
- Ability to perform grading and backfilling operations accurately.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle physical workloads and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
