Donations Coordinator/Case Worker
Sacramento, CA
$22-3.25/hour | Temporary (4–5 months)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Donations Coordinator to support community-focused donation and outreach efforts. This is a primarily administrative role, ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure programs run efficiently and donors feel supported and appreciated.
This position plays a key role in coordinating donation-related activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting initiatives that benefit local communities. While the role collaborates with community members and partner organizations, it is largely office-based with no routine fieldwork required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately log, track, and maintain donation records in a pre-existing database system
- Review and verify data for completeness and accuracy prior to final submission
- Coordinate donation drives (e.g., supply or resource drives), ensuring smooth planning and execution
- Communicate with donors via email and phone to provide updates, answer questions, and express appreciation
- Prepare professional written correspondence, including thank-you letters and follow-up communications
- Support outreach efforts and assist in organizing community engagement initiatives
- Maintain well-organized documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes and reporting standards
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of donation tracking and reporting
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of case management experience required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data entry and documentation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with databases or case management systems (experience preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in nonprofit, community support, or social services work is a plus
