Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description
This role supports the production of electro-magnetic components by performing coil winding, manual assembly, and electrical and magnetic testing. You will work with machinery and hand tools, assist testing stations, and handle finished products weighing approximately 20-25 lbs. The position requires attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work reliably in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Operate coil winding machines to produce coils according to specifications.
• Perform manual assembly of coils using hand tools and production equipment.
• Conduct electrical and magnetic testing on coils and related components.
• Apply epoxy to secure and bond components together as required.
• Support testing stations by preparing parts, setting up equipment, and assisting with test procedures.
• Handle and move finished products weighing approximately 20-25 lbs safely and efficiently.
• Use round core glue and tie wraps to assemble and secure components.
• Operate a hydraulic press machine in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Measure and verify components using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
• Follow production instructions, work orders, and quality requirements to ensure accurate and consistent output.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety and manufacturing procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and improvements.

Essential Skills

• Experience using hand tools in a production or manufacturing setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to perform simple math to support measurements and production calculations.
• Experience in a factory or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Ability to lift and handle products weighing approximately 20-25 lbs.
• Attention to detail when assembling, testing, and inspecting components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electromechanical experience is a plus.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with coil winding, electrical testing, or similar production processes is beneficial.
• Comfort operating machinery such as a hydraulic press is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment focused on producing electro-magnetic components such as power magnetics, AC current transformers, and instrument current transformers for power conversion, conditioning, and metering applications. You will work around production machinery, coil winding equipment, hydraulic presses, testing stations, and common hand tools. The facility operates as part of a multi-regional manufacturing network with operations in the USA, Mexico, China, and India, reflecting a broad, industrial setting with established processes and standards. The role involves standing for extended periods, handling materials and finished products, and working in a typical factory atmosphere with appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
