Winston Manor is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to support our Nursing Department. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating nursing schedules, monitoring daily staffing needs, and working closely with nursing leadership to help maintain appropriate coverage throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update nursing schedules for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Coordinate daily nursing staffing and assist with maintaining appropriate coverage
• Monitor staffing levels, open shifts, call-offs, absences, and schedule changes
• Contact available nursing staff to assist with filling open shifts and call-offs
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and facility leadership regarding staffing needs
• Communicate schedules and staffing changes to nursing employees in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate employee schedules and staffing records
• Track employee availability, requested time off, and approved schedule changes
• Assist with coordinating coverage for vacations, leaves of absence, and other anticipated absences
• Review upcoming schedules to identify potential staffing shortages and address coverage needs proactively
• Maintain current nursing employee contact and availability information
• Assist with onboarding and scheduling newly hired nursing employees
• Coordinate with Human Resources and nursing leadership regarding new hires, employee status changes, leaves, and separations as appropriate
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and facility information
• Prepare staffing reports and documentation as requested by leadership
• Follow facility policies and applicable staffing procedures
• Perform additional staffing and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous staffing, scheduling, healthcare, long-term care, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience scheduling nursing or healthcare staff strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage frequent schedule changes and competing priorities
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees and facility leadership
• Comfortable using scheduling systems, computers, email, and other office technology
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee information appropriately
• Dependable, professional, responsive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Schedule may vary based on nursing staffing and facility needs
• Some weekend, holiday, or after-hours availability may be required to assist with urgent staffing needs
