Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) Location: Salida, Colorado, United States Start date: 10/05/2026 Contract: 12 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour shifts with equitable call rotation Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Weekly pay: $2,586 to $2,648 per week Setting: Travel assignment in a critical access hospital Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,586–$2,648 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 12 weeks Shift pattern: Four 10-hour shifts with call rotation Start date: 10/05/2026 Setting: OR in a critical access hospital; travel assignment Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures as a circulating or scrub role, adhering to sterile technique and safety standards Prepare the OR, assemble instruments and supplies, and assist the surgical team with equipment setup and instrument counts Monitor patient status intraoperatively, assist with positioning, anesthesia support, and immediate post-procedure care as appropriate Document intraoperative events, patient responses, and post-anesthesia care instructions; communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff Maintain room turnover efficiency, ensure equipment readiness, and uphold regulatory and facility policies throughout each case Requirements Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state Current CPR certification Current ACLS certification Current PALS or PEARS certification Ability to work in an operating room environment and participate in a surgical team Benefits and Support Travel assignment with dedicated support through the staffing organization Guaranteed hours and a defined 12-week assignment On-site orientation and ongoing clinical support during the rotation Access to a travel-focused recruiter for scheduling and credentialing assistance About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
