That's where you come in.About the TeamAs a Sr. Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) in Capital One's Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, we're looking for someone that can help us build the next-generation Generative AI platform and tools as the backbone of the company's AI Information. This strategy is fundamental for our technical organization to embrace AI and Machine Learning in unique and pioneering ways, and for Capital One's lines of businesses (like credit card, retail banking, auto finance) to deliver high reliability, real-time delightful experiences for our customers.In addition to the technical program, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.Our TPM Sr. Directors have:Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycleExperience building and leading a world-class team of technical program managers with a mission to power, intelligent experiences for our customers and associatesLead technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisionsExceptional communication and collaboration skillsExcellent problem solving and influencing skillsA quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinkerExperienced TPM leader to grow and develop a team of TPMs, while also building the foundations for the TPM practiceAbility to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representativesDeep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and resultsExceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partnersBasic QualificationsAt least 9 years of experience in technical program managementBachelor's degreePreferred Qualifications9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture.
