Accounts Payable Specialist - Hybrid & Growth Opportunities

What We’re Looking For Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable to support financial operations across ITS, Inc., SHAZAM, Inc., and ITS Bank. In this role, you will process disbursements, maintain accurate accounts payable records, and assist with sales tax reporting, account reconciliations, and journal entries. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. What You'll Do Review and evaluate invoices, assigning appropriate general ledger codes for accurate entry into the accounts payable system Process and prepare payments through the automated accounts payable system Maintain and produce a monthly listing of open accounts payable Ensure compliance with internal accounts payable policies and procedures Assist with preparation and timely filing of state sales and use tax returns; collaborate with vendors to ensure proper tax application Maintain accurate vendor records to support year‑end 1099 reporting Complete assigned general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries Support the Accounting Manager with special projects and departmental initiatives while providing backup coverage for other accounting functions as needed What You Need 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience in a similar industry or environment Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles Familiarity with accounting systems and financial processes preferred Experience with Workday and advanced Excel experience preferred Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment What’s In It For You A mission‑driven company with a strong sense of purpose A hybrid work environment that values flexibility and collaboration Opportunities for professional development and career growth A culture that values innovation, integrity, and community impact Excellent benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Flexible spending and health savings accounts Life insurance and short‑ and long‑term disability provided at no cost Time away from work – PTO, VTO, paid parental leave, and company holidays Educational assistance Actual compensation is based on various factors, such as geographic location, experience, education, and/or skill level, and is finalized at the time of offer.
