40 Work Shift Job Description Compensation & Incentives
- Sign-on bonus: $10,000
- Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates
- Shift Differentials: up to $5.30 per hr (depending on shift)
- Additional pay: (call pay, overtime etc.)
- Schedule: Days, Nights, Weekends
- Hours: Varies based on shift
- Call requirements: 3 on-call days every 13 weeks
- Holiday expectations: Rotating Schedule
- Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for physician interpretation.
- Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed and under the supervision of a physician.
- Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
- Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
- Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.
- Follows radiation safety practices and applicable departmental and regulatory standards.
- Documents examinations and patient information accurately in the appropriate electronic systems.
- Maintains equipment and work areas in accordance with department standards and infection prevention protocols.
Required Registration/Certification:
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
