Facilities Technician

Facilities Maintenance AssistantResponsible for assisting Facilities Manager with maintenance of all buildings and equipment owned and/or operated by Encompass, assuring that they are properly maintained to provide a safe, clean and orderly environment for children. This individual will perform general maintenance tasks at all of Encompass's centers.Essential Job Functions:Carry out maintenance requests as scheduled or directed by the Facilities ManagerInspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issuesPerform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentryMust be able to lift 50 or more poundsAbility to safely operation lawn and snow removal equipmentSupport the Encompass mission, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality in all encountersPerformance Objectives:Perform routine maintenance and repairs at all Encompass locationsEnsure lawn maintenance and snow removal meet agency needsAssist with maintenance of Encompass owned vehicles and outdoor playground equipmentAssume Facilities Manager's functions in his absenceServe as backup to Transport Service Provider, upon requestWork cooperatively with support departments regarding facility and maintenance issuesComplete accurately and on time all required reports and/or necessary office recordkeepingExhibit agency values in daily work and demonstrate commitment to the agency missionPerform other related duties as requestedRequirements:Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of related experience in facilities maintenance preferredAdvanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniquesDemonstrated communication and organizational skillsValid driver's license
