Automotive Mechanic

Automotive TechnicianLooking for experienced automotive technician, mainly for front end, brakes, shocks, struts, engine repairs, check engine light diagnosis etc. will also help with tires, oil changes and other maintenance work. Competitive pay dependent on experience.Responsibilities:Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accuratelyInspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgradeConduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevityRepair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance jobFabricate and assemble structural and miscellaneous metal products.Keep logs on work and issuesMaintain equipment and tools in good conditionSkills:Proven experience as auto mechanicExcellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehiclesWorking knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methodsPrior experience fabricating steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel Fabrication (layout, fit-up, welding, grinding)Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.Excellent physical conditionHigh school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferredWill receive paid holidays, paid vacation, benefits and 401k with partial matching. Must have valid drivers license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously. Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
