Accounting Assistant

The Nicholas Family of Companies is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our growing accounting department. This is an in-person position based in Mount Prospect, IL, supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses within the Nicholas Family of Companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative accounting team. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary data entry resource for various accounting functions. Assist with project documentation, including tracking allowances and change orders. Process intercompany transactions, vendor invoices, and customer invoices accurately and timely. Prepare and assist with ad hoc financial reports and data requests. Provide administrative and accounting support to the Controllers across the Nicholas Family of Companies. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure documentation is complete and organized. Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Construction accounting experience preferred. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of accounting principles and the flexibility to support multiple industries and business entities. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism. #J-18808-Ljbffr
