Required Application Materials Resume is required Cover Letter is preferred Job Summary The Student Success Coach II coaches and advises UT San Antoniostudents from the lead phase through to successful graduation. Thisposition handles inquiries arriving via various channels, such asonline, phone, mail, email and in-person. This role solves complexproblems; and takes a new perspective using existing solutions.This position works independently and receives minimal guidance. Core Responsibilities Responsible for nurturing leads and prospects, looking at thewhole student, including finances, family and community, careergoals, commitments and more, to ensure that well-qualified andwell-prepared individuals complete their application andsuccessfully matriculate into UT San Antonio. Responsible forcoaching prospects and enrolled students to improve enrollment,persistence, completion, and career readiness. Responsible forinterpreting, formulating, and evaluating institutional rules tostudents and for facilitating the exchange of academic advisinginformation by participating in the delivery of academic advisingservices to students. Assists and support the supervisor in organization, delivery,and assessment of assigned area. Serves as a lead by providing training, guidance, and indirectsupervision. Manages and maintains regular contact with prospects and leadsfor online programs throughout each application cycle to nurtureinterest and remove barriers to successful application. Manages incomplete applications and coach applicants in orderto facilitate maximum completed application yield. Updates management with regular data reporting on prospects,applicants, and enrolled students. Advises students remotely using telephone, e-mail, video chatand other tools regarding core, major, support work, graduation,and university requirements, keeping accurate records of studentadvising contacts and progress toward a degree. Monitors student academic progress, communicating with eachstudent regularly on a personalized basis; intervening as necessaryto assist those students having difficulty. Processes degree plans, register students and verifyrequirements using Student Information Systems. Serves as a coach to prospects and students to aid in theirdevelopment of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and beliefs theyneed to succeed in college and their careers. Provide individualized career coaching to undergraduatebusiness students, including career exploration, internship and jobsearch strategies, resume and cover letter reviews, interviewpreparation, networking strategies, LinkedIn optimization, andgraduate school planning. Design, facilitate, and assess workshops and professionaldevelopment programming focused on career readiness andprofessional development. Participates in regular training and professional developmentto maintain and increase skill set. Develops and implements departmental projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. One (1) year of related work experience. This position may require the ability to maintain the securityand integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per TexasEO-GA-48. Preferred Qualifications Experience in career counseling and professional developmentcoaching. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communication Collaboration Customer Service Problem Solving Working Conditions Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings,training sessions or other business-related events. Workdays,areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of thedepartment. Physical Demands Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push,pull or otherwise move objects. This position will work primarily on campus .Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
