We provide on-site portable dentistry, podiatry, audiology, and optometry at Senior Centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, and Veteran Homes across 20+ states—and we're continuing to grow. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, empathetic care while handling all logistics so providers can focus solely on the patient.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Optometrist to join our mobile care team serving Philadelphia, PA and Southern New Jersey . This role is ideal for someone looking to supplement their current schedule while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
All administrative and logistical responsibilities—including equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing—are fully managed by CMC. This is an independent contractor position , allowing you to focus entirely on patient care without the burdens of managing a private practice.
Weekly Schedule2–3 days per week
Ideal availability would be Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday each week.
Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine eye exams, refractions, and vision screenings
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases common in geriatric populations
Prescribe corrective lenses and coordinate with optical labs as needed
Educate patients and facility staff on eye health, prevention, and follow-up
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
Active PA and NJ optometry licenses (or eligibility)
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; geriatric or mobile care experience preferred
Strong diagnostic skills in ocular disease management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
$65 - $75 per hour
