Travel RN - ICUAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a CA license for a fast-paced unit specializing in neuro patients on a day shift schedule.ICU setting with a high volume of neurological patientsPatient ratio of 1:2Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)EOW required and additional weekends as unit need dictatesOn-call as neededMay float to other units within scope of practice, and potentially to Summit or Herrick Campus with as little as 1.5 hours noticeShuttle provided for campus floatingEpic charting system experience requiredActive CA RN licenseBLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification required; CPI certification preferred3+ years of RN ICU experience requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredProficiency with neuro ICU patient populations including CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care, and traumatic brain injuryExperience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and arterial line managementExperience with central line, PICC line, and blood product administrationExperience with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation2 supervisor references obtained within the past yearProvide critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex neurological and multisystem needsMust be comfortable and proficient managing high-acuity neuro casesLocal candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radiusReturning staff/travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplyingMax RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request permitted per contractHoliday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayRe-orientation only required if separated 6+ months since last shift at this facility
